Christina Zurhausen was born in Ruhr Valley, Germany.
As a teenager she loved listening to Punk, Rock and Grungemusic, bands like Wizo, Nirvana or Sonic Youth.
Coincidentially she stumbled on John Abercrombie on her beginning 20ths, rising in a huge desire for Jazz music. New heroes were John Scofield, and Thelonious Monk.
She studied jazz guitar on the music colleges of Cologne and Osnabrück.
